Down the Rabbit Hole: Week 3

'Well!' thought Alice to herself, ' after such a fall as this, I shall think nothing of tumbling down stairs!

Down the Rabbit Hole is a new series in 2014. Every week I will compile my favorite things from around the internet for our mutual enjoyment. The internet is fun! Enjoy!

It's hard for me to think beyond our current apartment hunt, but I will attempt because I need to not think about about pros and cons and broker fees for a hot minute. (We just found out we didn't get the apartment we were really excited about. I'm feeling feisty.)

Tiny, messy, beautiful, rug rats. Yesssssssss.

Have you heard of this new app? Nifty Thrifty finds the good stuff and delivers it to your door. I think I'd like this because I really like the hunt, but I can't keep up with the hunt, you know? Also, I really miss DI. (Note: Discovered through Verily Magazine, a big favorite of mine. I featured them here on Design Mom.)

Beautiful shots of The Schoolhouse Electric & Supply Co. headquarters in Oregon. Including the IBM clock my husband redesigned. The pickings are lean on their site but there's some pretty stuff.

Speaking of pretty stuff, did you read about Trouvé Magazine?

A children's book that teaches the fundamentals of programming. More and more, I'm thinking our kids should be learning code. Especially girls. Where would I be if I knew how to code? I could build out the ideas I have. (Note: I discovered this book through a tweet from Amrit. Follow her. She's smart.)

Overcoming designer's block on Rashi's beautiful design blog, Bucket of Squash. (She also moonlights as a Tattly model, what?!) And a healthy reminder to get on Quora!

Did you download the Yahoo News Digest app yet? I love the idea of getting top news stories at 8 AM and 6 PM.

The Audio Files are so good. I loved this short documentary on one of my favorite bands, Mates of State. In another life, Keenan and I are Mates of State. (They're playing on Feb. 13 and 15 in Provo and Salt Lake!)

Excited to get my greedy little fingers all over the new Obaby app!

And another baby tidbit: Hither and Thither has a printable hospital packing list for labor and delivery.

And please bless we sign a lease this week. Amen.
